Everyone else has a web site, so I figured, why not me too? On this site I'll describe myself and share my interests and ideas.

My heroes are those people that care about the way our planet is being damaged by the stupidity of a few. Every time you go
to the zoo to see a captive animal do you ask yourself this question? "Is this the best environment for this animal/fish?"
I will bet that you do not! And do you know why? It is because you do not THINK! Try it sometime!
I have a pet dog called Scottie. He is a Border Collie and is very sweet natured.(He is an ex rescue dog.)The reason
I am letting you know this is because man and dog have lived in harmony for thousands of years and normally nobody wants to
hurt a dog. But why oh why do people love to go to Zoos? Why do people go to Dolphinariums? Why do people love to capture
wild animals and put them on display for others to see? You see, as a species we think that we are superior to all other species
on this planet but that is not true. We have a blindspot when it comes to pleasing ourseves and that spot is our own arrogance!
There, I have managed to rave a bit and am feeling better. The reason for the title of my Blog being The Lemon Tree
is to illustrate the sweetness and the sourness of the way that I see the world. There are stories of fine human endeavour
to tell and I don't just mean famous people but also everyday working Guys like myself. There are also stories of crass stupidity
or even worse deliberate detrimental activity that harms not only other people but the planet as a whole. If nobody rejects
these actions nor speaks out against them then are we no better than the morons that perpetrate them in the first place?
TIME IS RUNNING OUT! The sundial below indicates that time passes with amazing speed. What we (the human race) have done
to the planet in the last two hundred years is totally inexscusable. We have raped the land and sea that we have on loan from
our children's children. We have wiped out hundreds of species of animals to extinction. We have depleted fish stocks to such
a level that they may never recover. Greenhouse gasses are causing irrepairable damage to the very environment in which we
live. And WE are the SUPERIOR species?
You must have heard of the Dolphins who in New Zealand herded together a group of bathers and protected them from marauding
sharks. These very mammals that have shown humans that they have concerns for our welfare we kill. We put them in concrete
tanks for our amusement. We teach them to perform tricks for our delight. We shoot them. We drown them in fishing nets. And
we eat them! Something is WRONG!
